Google announced immediately that it is extending Chromebooks’ automated replace assist from 8 years to 10 years for gadgets launched from 2019 and later. The transfer follows growing criticism from shoppers, colleges, and advocacy teams across the many Chromebooks in use and on sale with looming loss of life dates.
“All Chromebook platforms will now get common automated updates for 10 years,” Google’s weblog publish says. Quite a few Chromebooks launched in 2019 have been about to run out subsequent 12 months. Now, no Chromebooks needs to be expiring inside the subsequent two years.
